May 22 and, from Redondela to Pontevedra's. A short day really but with two large climbs. The first took us high enough to look back over the Rio de Vigo delta in the morning sun.
A once proud ship, this sight always seems to make me sad for some reason.
My iPod crapped out and died on me today, I guess its the Camino's way of making me stay in the present.
Our timing today was wrong and we missed any coffee stops along the way. We did the whole walk today without any stops or pastries, so I was knackered when we arrived.
Along the way I was concerned about an email I need to get back to Kevin on, business, and I came up on these guys, I walked with them awhile but they didn't say much
As I followed, into my head pops HAKUNA MATATA,,,,,,really,,,,HAKUNA MATATA ( no worrying for the rest of your life) I know its a child's movie, but I like this, I must listen to this , this is a Camino gift,,, and I listen, so off  I " not quite" skip, with Leonard the girl elephant, on to the rest reference point.
Taking the load off at the Ponte Sampaio in the village of Arcade

We get intoPontevedra quite early so find the Albergue ( i  have tried to find what Albergue means, and there are various answers, but I finally found out at the museum. It was named as such because it was a place for the old pilgrims to rest, eat, and get shelter from the weather, and it means Refuge.)  We have time so we pool our clothes and do a laundry run, showering with your clothes on works two or three times, but then you need a proper wash. I was smelling, fortunately, like the other pilgrims. Its that first, shirt over the head moment in the morning, that gets your attention
Hakuna Matata
